What to expect
when you come along

We'd love to welcome you any Sunday

We have two services to choose from:

9:30am service

Our 9:30am congregation is for all age groups, but with a focus on families. People from all ages and stages of life gather with age-appropriate teaching in separate spaces. Our children’s programs include Preschool, Stars for school years K-1, Stompers for school years 2-5, as well as a group for years 6-8. Parents are welcome to use these programs, use our dedicated parents room or have their children remain with them in the main gathering.

Our children begin and finish the service in the auditorium but leave during the service for their programs. You are welcome to travel with your children, meet the leaders and see the space where the children meet.

5pm service

Our 5pm service welcomes people from all ages and stages but is focused on adults and young adults.

What to expect

Before the service

When you enter our site from Richardson road you will find our large car park with ample parking. As you enter our foyer there will be someone ready to welcome you. They will offer you an optional name tag and answer any questions you may have. If you are running late, don’t worry, our welcomers will still be there for you and you’ll be able to enter church without making a scene.

During the service

As you walk in you are welcome to take any seat you are comfortable with. We have Bibles available as you walk in if you’d like to follow along, but that’s entirely up to you.

Our services typically run for about an hour and a quarter and you will be treated with respect and kindness. You won’t be singled out, or made to do anything, you are welcome as our guest.

Each service contains two readings from the Bible, and the second reading is followed by a Bible talk. This is not a lecture, but a moment to listen carefully to what God has to say to us and to respond to him. Our services also include singing and praying led from the front.

After the service

After the service we continue to gather over some morning tea or supper with tea and coffee. You are welcome to leave quickly or stay as long as you like. This is a great time for connecting with others.

Got kids?

We run a range of programs from preschoolers to young adults, on Sunday morning and during the week. For more information about any of our programs, click on the button below.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What should I wear?

There’s no need to dress up or wear something special. Most people wear what they would wear to the shops.

Q. Do I need to bring anything?

Not at all! All you need to come to church is you!

Q. Can I bring a pram?

Of course! Our services take place in a large auditorium that has plenty of room for prams. We also have a dedicated parents room at the back of the auditorium with a toilet, a sink, and a change table, if your little ones need somewhere a bit quieter at any stage in the service.

Q. Will I be asked to give?

No, if you are new to our church or visiting, you won’t be asked to give anything. We talk about giving at our Members and Partners Course for those who want to commit to making Narellan Anglican your church family.
