UPDATE – Giving during COVID-19

Like many things during this crisis, giving to support the work of the church has been made more difficult. While the majority of our giving is through bank transfer, a significant percentage still comes through physical collection on a Sunday. If you’d like to continue to support the ministry at Narellan Anglican, would you please consider giving electronically during this season (the details are below). If you are unable to give electronically, we would encourage you to put that giving aside for later.

For some of our members, loss of work means you will need to reduce your giving. We understand this, want to support you through this difficult time, and invite you to contact us if you need assistance.

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:7-8

God wants us to be generous with our time, talents, and treasures. Like every aspect of the Christian life, our attitude in giving matters. Our giving should be joyful, thoughtful, and sacrificial in nature. We are to be like God – ready, not reluctant, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Our giving is only and always in response to God’s generosity to us in the Lord Jesus Christ. We give generously in response to his generosity to us. If we have received God’s abundant grace, then we all have something to give generously.

We encourage you to give prayerfully as we partner in the gospel together, for Jesus’ sake and God’s glory.

How to Give

The preferred way that you can support the local ministry of Narellan Anglican Church is by electronic funds transfer. This reduces the handling of cash and helps giving to be regular and consistent. When making a transfer please use the code for your Congregation. This will help our Wardens in planning and managing the finances of our church.

We encourage church members to give to the work of gospel both inside and outside the Parish. In this regard, we ask members to consider supporting our partner organisations.

Money given via bequests supports the work of the gospel into the next generation. For information on leaving a bequest to Narellan Anglican Church please speak to one of our Wardens or Ministers.
